Does look odd, Rover grill does it no favours. Looks a right poverty version.

Maybe one of the last ones out of MG and made up from the parts bin.

Or repaired by grabbing all the bits off the other MGR cars in the yard.

Dosnt look bad for the price, if its a derv, few ????'s spent on the right bits would look OK.

A 1.8l Derv??

Suppose it could be the PUG engine from the 218SLD....

I emailed him

Quote:
Hi
Interesting car, Rover 45 mk1 front, MGZS mk2 rear, 1.8 enginge when all 45's and ZS diesels were 2.0 and those wheels are normally 16" except for the 18" version on a MGZT but they have a different stud pattern to the ZS and ZR so wouldn't fit.

Also the dash is a mix of mk1 and mk2.

Good luck selling such an unusual car.

The enquiry is complete

The vehicle details for AV54 VJU are:

Date of Liability 01 02 2011
Date of First Registration 22 12 2004
Year of Manufacture 2004
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1796CC
CO2 Emissions 174g/Km
Fuel Type Heavy Oil
Export Marker Not Applicable
Vehicle Status Licence Not Due
Vehicle Colour RED
Vehicle Type Approval M1

Vehicle Excise Duty Rate for vehicle
6 Months Rate ?99.00
12 Months Rate ?180.00

So it is a 1.8 diesel, also if you do the search under a Rover it isn't found, only under MG, didn't know they did one.
