Janspeed, Moto-Build, Piper, Scorpion etc, what's your plans? Get it de-catted, makes a massive difference to the sounds

de cats have come up a lot lately it seems. is this purely a sound thing or do you get better performance too? would it be worth doing to a 120 or does it better suit the 180 engine?

I doubt a 120 will benefit as it needs the back pressure. The 180 loves the extra breathing and makes a notable difference.

It needs back pressure? :o

in which case.. would a sports cat be a better option for the 120?

Hmm, will probably look into getting it de-catted, does this make a difference though on passing the mot?

my 180 is alot better below 3000 rpm. it picks up a lot better and revs better. made a noticable difference to the way it goes and sounds. the decat made the best difference on mine. didnt really notice any difference with the cat back untill it went on
