What next ......

Got the deposit through. Going about getting the plate swapped so should have money to spend in about 2 weeks.

So ... head says the diesel, but as there's no-one volunteering near Bradford, I'm not travelling to look. Done that before and saw a right dog. Mrs C wants me to consider looking at others and she'll get her wish ... Got to keep 'er indoors happy.

Heart says 180, I'm thinking up to £2K for a mk1, £3K for a mk2 although saying that, I saw an 04 Mk 2 go on ebay for £2,300 yesterday, and it had alcantara !

There's a mk1 on .org in Kent ....

http://forums.mg-rover.org/showthread.php?t=308208

... anyone know the owner, or anything about it ?

Well you might want to think why you're changing from the ZT after so short a time. If it was because of the ZS's handling then the diesel will do nicely, but if its a combination of the V6 power AND the handling, then just go for it cause you dont want to be wishing you had in a few months time (and maybe thinking of changing again!)

I sometimes think I'd like a diesel because you can go so far without having to fill up, but the noise from the V6 is half the fun for me!

I dont know about the ZS TDi but most TDi cars I've driven feel quite brisk because of the torque, so if you can live without the aural sex it could be a very good choice!

Trouble is Adam we have 2 Puntos, and on SORN a Volvo 440 turbo and a MGBGT, plus the ZS Derv and no where to park them all. Ive already said I'm getting rid of the SORN ones.

Dan, I'll look at if your interested, but I know if I see it I will want it, thats why I've not looked at it already. Let me know, I,ll leave my cheque book at home!!!
