L4 CWD - bonnet

Who's car is that?

I'm being cheeky here, but having seen photos over on XPF, the bonnet on the MK1 in (tarty / royal?) blue seems to be sitting too low against the wing.

Is this typical of MK1's or is it just the photo................or my dodgy eyeballs?

I don't mean to offend by asking. It's a really nice looking car (my old 400gsdi was tahiti blue, looked really good after a wash) and what looks like a 'step' in the line from bonnet to wing in the photo draws the eye a bit.

Am I now qualified to write a section on:

"1001 ways to win friends on a new forum"?

I mean well.........honest!

I did see something amiss on photo #11 in this thread, nsf indicator looked out of place as did the grill to bumper gap, or was it a trick of the light and mirrors! God, you've got me at it now!
