Barn Find!!!

GUYS

My zed is leaking water so i went to what used to be a the closest mg/rover dealers that i knew about 5 miles from my house, since it went under that garage has changed to a nissan garage but on talking to the guy who owns it he took me across the road to his barn to show me something. He opened the doors and no joke he had 4 ZR's 17 ZS's and 9 ZT's in his barn absolutely brand spanking new still with factory covers on i couldnt belive it i tried talking him into letting me have a mk2 ZS but he wants to keep them but omg these cars are sitting wasted in his barn untouched unregistered !!!

i'll go back down and get some pictures i took a few on my phone but they were rubbish

ive never seen anything like it, it was almost like the pictures of longbridge

Chances are he isn't the real owner.
A lot of Rover dealers were issued with cars to sell, that as soon as the company went bust, were lost without trace.
The cars are then the property of the recievers who are acting on behalf of all of the creditors who were owed money by Rover. 1st priority given to the banks and UK Gov. If he holds on to them, and never gets asked for their return, after 7 years he can claim them as his own property.

Maybe this guy isn't doing this, but I know of 2 dealers who had cars on a sale or return basis who still hold stock.

i have no idea on what the deal is with them but it was a cool sight mk1's and mk2's im gonna keep on at him see if he'll give some up lol but he did mention he has lots of spares and bits and bobs aswell in another part of his farm that im gonna try and get a look at to see if its worth making him an offer on any of it but didnt get a look last night as it was getting dark but i will keep you all informed on how i get on or what he has got!

You are probably right John.......but then again.......I enjoy using my ZS rather than letting it collect dust and become 'priceless' over time.....

As far as I am concerned........the ZS is a real drivers car and I intend at least on enjoying mine to the bitter end

I should really stick her up on the ramps and spend a day underneath giving it a clean and putting some protection on there.

Ahh know where you are, wasn't them it was SMG in town. They still going, probably still selling Kia's?
