Inlet??

Ok i have the good old rattly plenum on my newly aquired zs, its not done many miles but im in the process of getting the belts done so im spending a fair amount on this one the question i ask is that the mpg on this one is not as good as my other 3 previous zs 180's, is this because i have a rattly plenum, the car runs sweet apart from the plenum issue, also i notice i havnt the 3k vis kick (but that does'nt bother me as im going to replace plenum and vis motors at the same time) So why is it drinking fuel quicker than phil mitchell on vodka????

A worn plenum won't help but that'll depend on how bad it is. Might be a dirty sensor giving false information to the ecu and it throwing in more fuel than is needed.

hmmm i hope not, iv had all induction piping of and airfilter out and airbox as well to clean them today (it was all coated in oil and grime) then i took my vis motor out to have a tug on the plastic arm in the inlet and its bad moving all ways and rattling very badly (i made it worse, woops), nevermind tho im hoping to get my hands on another inlet soon then i will go from there i suppose it will be worth it after its all done

Well if the arm is all over the place then it might only be hanging onto one or two butterflies. Been there myself.
