What I did in the end to get it off was a flat head screwdriver starting at one end and slowly tapping it with a hammer, gradually going along and you'll do the entire length eventually

Oh and I went to the post office mate they said due to 'ongoing problems from the strikes' it could take upto 2 weeks to get to you

grr thought strikes had been called off lol never mind i bought 2 nuts off rimmers nearly 3 quid a pop! gonna use the other 4 off me old spoiler. And goona yank 2 of the threaded bits

Well i finaly got the bitch off whats the best adesive to use thats easy to get from say halfrauds? I can get the sticky backed foam tape like mg used but thought maybe ill need summut stronger as i had to bodge 2 of the threads

Try glazing tape, prob sell it in somewhere like screwfix, that would hold it on without any bolts lol

We used to use a silicone with 30% glue content at work its was called tremsil or something similar

Yer we used it for the beading when glazing windows and some joints on furniture when we wanted to allow for a small amount of flex or shrinkage of the wood to advoid cracking, Not as strong as the tape, if it was me Id go for tape
