I picked up a draper one off amazon for a reasonable price and its been really good. Depends on what it will be for as they all cover different torque ranges.

The ones less than £30 are a waste of money, been through so many as they break so easily.

I bought one of these and use a breaker bar.

I'll try and dig out a link for the one I got and post it up, haven't had any problems so far and have used it a fair bit lately.

If for general use I would recommend a 1/2" drive minimum and steer clear of the cheap ones as sold by most, like these, I have destroyed a few over the years.

Depends what how much you want to spend...

Halfords pro ones are fine, i had two, 3/8th and 1/2 inch, the 3/8th one is still going strong after years of daily use at work, the 1/2inch one failed calibration about 4 years after a bought it, and its not adjustable... so i had to remove it from work and buy a new one (it was 3/5nm out...) so not by much.

But the halfords ones are life time garunteed !

I bought a snap on one for £140.00 on a deal, and it is adjustable, and its been spot on.

60-300 nm.

Halfords one http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...egoryId_165469

40-200nm

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...egoryId_165469

and 8-60nm

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...egoryId_165469

If you know anyone with a trade card they are cheaper too.

The one i have now is the same as this one.

Might be worth watching that.
