Looking at an Audi A4 cab for Kathy, 2.5TDi auto. I'm contemplating an A6/S6 Avant, 4.2 V8 tiptronic. The Antara went last weekend so pooling together the money and getting two reasonable cars. Something to tie us over for a year or two until such time we can afford something better/newer.

You're getting as bad as me ! I'd say though that if you find a good S6 Avant, you'll not have any desire or need for anything better/newer so soon.

Mrs C's just binned her Ecosport and is now pootling to and from the school in a 5dr 1.0l Gp 1 insurance, zero tax, Skoda Citigo that my eldest will have, and we're having the 3 series touring. Plan is though that because it'll have everything, we hope it'll be the perfect car for us and be a true keeper. Fingers crossed.
