Well Ross has a trailer and crane so should be a breeze to get it lifted and on!

Impressed?! This community is by far the most impressive I have ever seen, it's more like family!

Looking forward to arranging phase two (hopefully with help via fonations/labour) to get the belts done and get the swap complete!!

By the way, would it save money to use the 5k miles belts that are on my current engine or is that a no no?

If not, what sort of costs are we likely to need for the belt change if George can supply the tools?

I concur lol.... some peeps have mentioned donations when they get paid so hopefully that will cover belts and the food/drinks for those who do the labour side of things.

Seems plenty of folk are keen to get the project completed. I for one can't wait to get it on Knockhill, Silverstone, Rockingham etc with all the site members racing it.

Once it's complete, I wonder how many people will migrate to this site from the others to take part?!

Would also like to take this opportunity once more to thank everyone who donated money, transport, labour and advice so far to get through the first big step of this project. You are all contributing to a bit of history for this site and probably other sites of this type. It also makes me feel that the ?1.2k+ I have spent so far and the hours of work to get this car ready for the site has not gone to waste by selling the car for parts!

If I were you I'd be swapping the belts for new ones before fitting it. Most of the cost of a belt change is labour time. With the engine out it should be a doddle to do

Is it worth doing the thermostst at the same time?? Seems another item that tends to go.

Check and replace clutch if worn.????

All so much easier to do with the engine out.

Hi all. Just want to make sure that i'm sending the money to the right address. It says that Katherine will recieve the money. Is that right. Want to bump up the coffers a little more to ensure some of the overheads are covered.
