I will give it a good going over, could it just be the purge valve? I must admit all this Plenum/VIS problems is really starting to put me off buying one.

Don't let that put you off, I have had mine 4.5 years and loved every minute. I have had said issues and is part and parcel of any car tbh. Could be worse, you could have a BBQ Lambo
