B8sy is on a distinguished road
Check all fuses, an ex rover mechanic told me most fuses are linked in 1 way or another. when my indicator fuse blew i couldn't start the engine.

fuses all fine, starter is fine. so looks like the engine is seized. ball ache. was going to push it down my drive(its a slope) and once moving put it into gear and drop the clutch, this a good or bad idea? Its not used much at all but was running a few weeks ago, hopefully its nothing major

Take a power feed direct to the starter and also an earth to the block/gearbox, then you can rule out your feeds ect, bumping it down the drive is fine, its just getting it back if it doesn't start.
