I've been driving 17 yrs and this year is the first time I've tackled brakes in terms of fitting and bleeding. Wind back tools are really cheap now. If you can, watch them fit it at the garage.

You only need to wind back the rears, the fronts should just push back.

Yeah I did the rear caliper with a friend a while back (well he did it mostly) but I had bought a winding tool, but you just have to be careful when pushing the fronts back. I did the front discs and pads on my own but I didn't bleed afterwards as the whole system was bled about a week before (slaps own wrist tut tut)

You can't bleed the brakes BEFORE you change the calipers!

Cally180 is on a distinguished road
I have just changed all four of mine, due to being seized. they are easy enough to bleed, and fit.

you need two body's once you've fitted your new ones, one to pump and hold the peddle down while the other cracks the bleed nipple. just remember to keep the fluid level up and you should be ok.

You could, but it'd be pointless ;-)
I just didn't do it at all last time is what I meant.
