Is the oil filter on the landrover KV6 the same as the 180, I guessing so but if someone could say for certain.

Part number: LPW 100230

Yampiedog is on a distinguished road
According to Euro Car Parts they have different part numbers and they show different images. The Freelander one looks shorter.
The Bosch one is ?7.80 and the Guttmann is ?5.64 for the MG
The Guttmann is ?3.72 for the Freelander
I think I would go into a supplier and ask to see both.

what he is saying is odd as the relief valve only comes into operation if the filter is blocked as the oil is just passing through paper, not doubting the valves could be different but cant see why it would cause any problems
