Generally speaking ZSs are a fair bit more to insure than ZRs. Even with the same 1.8 120 engine the ZR is cheaper, wierd seen as the ZR is slightly quicker to 60 and looks more "boy racer".
You done a quote for a derv ZR with the same engine to see the difference?

I always found more than to be the best (from age 18-20 on a ZR 1.4)

Just paid a switch over fee for the ZS so not sure on an exact price come renewal time.

RoadRunner, Was only company that would insure me under 25. My first year was £1400 TPFT but 2nd year went down to £1010 Fully Comp

Adrian Flux, Sky and then Chris Knott - Do it in that order and play them against eachother!!

I paid £440 for a modified policy (decat, BMC CDA, 180 brakes) last June and I was 22 with 4 ncb.. Expecting it to be higher this year as I'm going Fully Comp - can't justify the possibility of loosing my 5 years no claims so need to protect it!

If however you don't care about no claims, or have none then I suggest getting TPFT and staying away from Fully Comp - lets face it; if you have an accident in a ZS then it's going to get written off anyway!

A lot of the brokers wont touch you until you are either over 21 or in some cases over 25...
