Removal of Bonnet Lining

Has anyone done this? I was thinking it may improve the sound from under the bonnet.

Any tips on removal or do i just rip it out?

It's just held in with push clips. Pull hard and it should come off easy enough

Mk2's never had any, so it can't be vital. The stuff on my Defender was starting to disintegrate so that came off too
