I've got these in mine, just swapped them from the saloon into the hatch.

Spend a lot of time researching the different types, didn't want to spend £30 £40 on something that you could get for £20. Had them in over a year now and no issues. Have a read, you might need h7c if a mk1.

Mk1 need h7rc bulbs, h7's are too long.

Yup, I came to that conclusion too, need to order myself some soon !

They should not fail an mot test, not in england, Scotland and Wales anyway, Ireland is different though.

Its in the wording, self leveling lamps and headlight washers must work if they where oe fitment... If not, it's down to normal beam pattern tbh.
