I can't see how the insurance should or even can write your car off if the accident wasn't your fault. At the end of the day it's your car so his insurance has a duty to fix your car weather the cost of the repair exceeds the market value or not. Fight to get it fixed, it's your car

We got a settlement for our 45 when someone baccked in to the rear door at a petrol station, there was no structural damage, so the said I could fix it, it would not be recorded as a write off, and they would pay us £600... Which they did

Mine did.
3 weeks I fought it for and still no budging.
Now it's a cat c.
Hope it doesn't come to that!

£105 gets it put on retention for a year and includes the assignment fee for the next car.

Shame about the bump mate ....
