My view is detonation killed past charged zeds due to lack of control over fuel and timming due to the bassic nature of the smart power 6 ecu and high tempreture.

There is a newer gen of ecu to the 6 and it will adjust the timming aswell for the boost. And I would run water / methanol injection to cool the charge.

From reading Garry's post he uses a pp smt8 and water injection aswell as forged pistons and gets good reliable power.

I feel the standard pistons will hold 5 psi for raod use.

As said Its not for sale due to me thinking its no good. Ive bought another project and want a cash injection for it.

I wont be upset if it does not sell.

What modifications have been made to the charger?

I am told it has the uprated bearings in the snout and has been modified to have oil suplied by the engine and returned. Much the same as a turbo.

Thats why there is a rocker cover in there as its lower than the charger and thats where the oil return is.

I often get around 23-24mpg as it is! I dont do much mileage in the car anyway so not a real problem.

heck if it was fit and forget id buy it... and i dont even have a zs , lol.
Its all the other thousands needed to make it work thats the hurdle.
If only sprintex had done it right, the sc could have been the zs's biggest and best mod, after all the cost of developing and producing the charger why didnt they just fine tune the little things...it could have been huge.
