Exactly what happened to mine ... I got a cat back stainless custom done by longlife. Looked the nuts and sounded standard. £300.

All done now, shiny new center pipe fitted, (along with new inlet manifold at the same time) so quiet now after sounding like a tank! New back box next on my list, 3" janspeed maybe?
