27 Litre Rover
Saw this on another forum and thought it might be of interest here
Apparently this Rover can do 150 mph at only 2000 rpm.

I saw this during its build a few years back. Got to admire the work put in and balls to complete it.

The owner and builder writes for Practical Performance Cars IIRC...
I remember reading an article in there about this car apparently when he first started it up, he hadn't realised it was in gear and almost put it through his garage wall!

Yea, he does. It's also off the road at the mo coz the gearbox is knackered. And apparently, it's not strictly a Merlin engine. It is, but the tank variety, rather than the airborne one. It goes by a different name, but is essentially the same unit.
EDIT: I commented before watching the vid. Meteor engine, that's the jobbie

thats is legendary, love the bit where he said he'd rather have that than a production supercar, he could take it to germany on the autobahns, although the germans may have bad memories when they hear that v12 coming
