Talking My first show win

as my last thread showed I spent a long long time cleaning the Sunspot for a show today, it was the IOW Jaguar show which is one of the largest shows over here and open to all car clubs, over 200 cars where there and I would say over 50 where non Jaguars, ranging from Aston Martins, Mercs, Austins, One off prototypes, Jensons, MG's, Fords.... you get the picture.

Anyway I was eating lunch and my father ran up saying did I hear the call out? to which I said no, so went back to the car and was greeted by the judges, One was the chairman of Jaguar Uk and the other was the chairman of the southern region. They asked more about the car and told me how much they loved it, the condition I have it in and the colour, that it was a pure credit to me,

she won "Best non Jaguar" in show which I have been trying to win with the TF's and F's for years!

She got so much attention, I was parked next to an old Lotus and more photos where being taken of the ZS as people just do not see them about.

Went into the arena at the end for prize giving and gave a speech about the car. He was really raving about it. not stopped smiling yet

Over all the best in show went to a Jaguar XK120, Second was a limited edition Jaguar XKR
Best saloon was a Mk7 Jaguar, second was a the gold Daimler
Car of the show went to the red Daimler that is owned by a disabled lad and his carer, car is pristine and under 20k in mileage. worthy winner,
Best non Jaguar was my ZS
Lady's choice car went to the Mk2 Escort

I will find more photos of the winning cars and the zs later when I have put everything away
