l18mnb is on a distinguished road
heater matrix

does anyone know how easy it is to get to the heater matrix??

i have a coolant leak and have checked all the usaul suspects like thermostat housing ect, but i recently changed the carpet and the drivers side was absolutely soaked, and it only loses coolant when the heater has been on.

so im assuming its a hose/connection or the matrix itself.

Think the hose connections are visible on the bulkhead on engine side so unlikely to be them.
I'd guess major PITA to replace matrix, think dash & heater will have to come out - nothing difficult but long winded.

Edit, just looked at Haynes and it is dash out :-(
