CD Multi-Changer & Aircon

My CD changer seems to be missing it's on/off button, I have tried poking something down the hole to turn it on but nothing happens. Any suggestions folks??
Also, my aircon doesn't seem to be working, when I press it there is no change in pitch etc to indicate that it's even trying to work. What do you think? Is it goosed?

The CD changer wont have an on/off button, it is powered and controlled by a compatable headunit, the only control on the changer is to eject the cassette.

Has the a/c ever worked/ Proberbly needs regasing.

Never worked, only had the car a couple of months tho, and the cd changer defo has an on/off button so must be aftermarket.
Will check fuses as well for aircon as the light doesn't come on the button.
