when I pulled my one away from the body those metal ones were rusted and had pulled away.

I bought a set of ali ones but looks a right pain to get them all off, then lined up with the plastic clips.

Think my one had a bit of a bash on the o/s front and had twisted the first clip backwards, so it didnt sit right. But undoing the screw type things underneath allows you to pull the cover away and semi sort it.

There is a proper adhesive for sticking the body kit bits, that doesnt cause rusting.

Reading your first post see they are new sills, not just ones falling off.

Those Pete found look like the ones that go into the side of the body work, there are also screw type ones that go underneath the floor and screw upwards.

You going to Halfway House on Sunday, Ziggy???
Hi Peter
Yep I'm going Sunday, hopefully see you there. X

Cool

Would a body shop have these clips or brackets? Or do they glue them on?

Smile

Think the metal ones are bonded onto the sills.

The plastic ones fit into the cars bodywork.

You then slide the sills onto the plastic clips.

Well that what it looked like when I pulled the sill away!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll bring some of my metal ones up tomorrow so that its easier to see, whats, what!!

If Ziggy has bought the sills, are the metal brackets still bonded on.

This is all on my Mk2, dont know if the Mk1 would be different.
