1.*** Goodwood open for booking
Our second day this season at this superb track is now open for booking on our website
www.mgs-on-track.com. Our first visit of the year, back in February, sold out very quickly, so grab your place fast and don’t miss out on a day at this famous and fabulous circuit. Goodwood is the only classic circuit in the world to remain entirely in its original form even after it was sympathetically restored over a six-year period, being completed in 1998 in preparation for the inaugural Goodwood Revival. Once again, we have our popular afternoon coaching sessions available at this event. Cost is £145 for an MGCC driver, £28 for a full afternoon's coaching (see MGoT article in February Safety Fast!) and £11 for an individual instruction session. See you there!
2.*** MG Live!
At this year’s MG Live!, MGoT has decided to do things a little differently. We will have a stand on the veranda of the MGCC marquee and we will be running in-car video footage, taken at a number of our track days. This will allow those of you who haven’t yet ventured on-track with your own car to experience laps of some of the best-known racing circuits in the UK. We will also have two cars on the stand to show you that you don’t need to spend loads of money in order to take your car on a track day. A prepared and tuned Midget will be there just for comparison though!

3.*** Donington offer to first-timers
We appreciate that your first time on track may appear to be a little daunting so we are running one of the sessions at Donington especially for first-timers and novice track drivers. We will offer extra support for first-timers, as we did very successfully last year. This extra support comprises:
•** a driver buddy system using some of most experienced members.* When you receive your event guide you will see that we have allocated a buddy to you. They will help you learn the ropes – right from the start, at sign-on, through to the end of the day.
•** a group classroom briefing from one of our qualified instructors to provide guidance on the circuit and track driving in general.

We also recommend that you book a personal instruction session with one of our ARDS Grade A qualified instructors during the day, to maximise enjoyment of your track-day experience.
4.*** MGB 50
We especially welcome all MGB drivers to our track day at Donington Park on October 8th as part of their 50th anniversary celebrations. Some of you may choose just to come along and have fun in the paddock, taking in the atmosphere, whilst others may wish to join our regular MGBs, and MGCs on the track. Either way, you will be made most welcome. Do remember that we do not charge for spectator access or for track passengers. Come and join us if you have never ventured out on a track with your “B”. We have plenty of members who would be delighted to take you out in a session as a passenger so you can experience first-hand what it’s all about!

5.*** Update your Details
Finally, a plea to everyone registered on our website. Please could you all check your user-profile details on
www.mgs-on-track.com? We use these details, particularly the track-driving experience level, to assign you to the appropriate track session. We have a few members who are considerably more experienced than their profiles suggest. If we allocated on the basis of their profile, they would be in the novice session! Please could you check that both your experience level and your car(s)' details are up to date? Thanks.
