I think that part of the problem is that the ZS prices have dropped sufficiently to be within the grasp of the boy racer brigade. There are a minority of cars being bought by enthusiasts such as people here, but the prices are now at the point where people buy them with the view to have some cheap fun and not worry about mainaining the car as they should. Hence, more get crashed, and the premiums go up

As a comparison, I'm paying the same for my ZS 180 as I was for a 240bhp Supra Turbo...

I'm paying more now to insure my diesel ZS than I was for my 220bhp Honda Prelude 2 years ago..

When looking last year for insurance one company openly admitted that they were loading any policy on a MG/Rover because pretty much every claim on one would resulted in a write-off..

Just called Peter Best Insurance. Got fully comp insurance with £100 excess unlimited milage and windscreen cover all for £464.46

Which number did you ring? They've got like 6 of them and no clear explanation of what is what!
