Clutch noise?

I've noticed my car seems noisier lately but when I press the clutch the noise goes away. Is that a sign it's on it's way out? Sure it's not always been like that.

Crumbs. Cheers Grimster. Reckon it will hold out for a few more miles? Got about 750 to do in the next few weeks. It's been noisy for around 1000 miles so far. Should this of flagged up on the MOT? Costing me a fortune this year!
