Look at the water in the coolant expansion tank... then check under the oil cap and the level of the oil on the dip stick... any mayo etc?

Check them then report back lol

Could be inlet manifold gasket.

RAC dude arrived, it wasn't the head gasket (phew) he said there could be moisture in the spark plug area, so he took them out and revved the engine and petrol was flying out. He fiddled on with that for a while then realised some wires behind the engine had been caught and we'rent letting the injection thingy do its stuff. He re-taped it an all is well.

Apologies if that got too technical for anyone.

common problem the wiring loom chafing on the ecu bracket, the injectors are earth controlled so it holds them open flooding the engine
