I've seen someone who hollowed out the area where the heated seat blanks are on the MK2 centre console and mounted the scangauge there. I had considered removing the clock but the option buttons mounted either side on the SG display are set just a bit wider than the gap the clock sits in obscuring the buttons.

Can't really see that picture... but if I can get hold of a scangauge I will look into the feasibility of fitting it in the clock arpature

Could always take it apart to relocate the buttons, sure it could be made to fit where the clock is.

Oh yes, I'm deffo getting me one of those when funds allow. Wonder if I can mount it in the centre console somehow? Or maybe the blanking plate on the speedo cowl would be good

One day I plan to adapt a steering column cowling so the gauge sits better.
I reach around the wheel to press switches.

The mirror looks neat.

here is where mine lives

sorry for the poop photo, garage is pretty dark

may try and move it up to where the clock should sit, but it will require some trimming of the scan guage so it fit between the switches.

KirkJames will become famous soon enough
I have a vent grip for my Galaxy Note, so I am going to get a decent OBDII bluetooth device along with torque pro and just link it up via b'tooth. Job done. And I can have the time on there, floating around on the screen!
