and another mot pass

had my mot this morning on my car passed with flying the mot tester was happy but he did point that my fuel tank rusting very badly around the seems.

does anybody know where i can get a stainless steel tank made for my car.

Good news, the stainless tank will cost you mega bucks mate. Even an alloy one will be costly. Not sure if such a thing needs to be certified for road use.

Glad you got through OK.

When I had my exhaust from Powerflow I got them to underseal the car, hope it covered the fuel tank!!

SimonMGZS is on a distinguished road
but it wont cover the upperhalf of the tank as it needs to be removed for that.while it was up on the ramp i could se that the top half was rusty also

drop it out n kurust it, then primer it with hammerite special metals primer, which seems to stick to even hot things then a coat of your prefered colour of hammerite problem solved

Last time I derusted a petrol tank was on my Hillman Hunter, took a wire brush to the rust and .................................. bu**er. Petrol started flowing out of all the nice little holes.

Down to the scrap yard for another one.

Might see if I can get Waxoyl stuff up there, alright for you with a ramp on hand.
