interior light doesnt come on when your driving so would be fine, be the same as the puddle lights you can get under mirrors(something else id thought about)

You could always have two sets, one for show and when the main lights come on they switch from blue to amber as a default.

IIRC it can be any colour as long as you can't see the light source.

My plan with my T16 maestro is some lighting tricks but it'll all be wired so it is for "off road use only",
I have a remote control switching unit put away somewhere with 4 switched channels............

Like I said IIRC if you can't see the light source it is ok, other wise there would be problems with interior lighting.

Don't quote me on this but i think any funky lighting is illegal to have on whilst driving! Supposed to be for display purposes only and possibly disconnected whilst driving??!!

I'm sure that's right. Iirc neons are supposed to be wired into handbrake so they're not distracting other road users, same as DVD headunits etc

I'd say that it probably is legal enough if it's not visible from the rear which it would be. Red would probably be fine as I doubly it will be seen from the front.

On the down side, it's an excuse to get pulled over and then it could be a ticket for various other things like HIDs, illegal reg font, sidelight out, or anything they could ticket you for.
