Will this speaker adaptor fit the ZS?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...ies%26_fvi%3D1
Land Rover Defender Speaker Adaptor.
I have been looking at the mini adaptors and it seems that people on ebay are selling two different sizes for the same part number. The one i was looking at advertised the part as 165mm (6.5inch), so just to make sure i e-mailed him to get him to confirm the correct size. He said that he had made a mistake and that it was smaller than advertised!

Hi just doing the same to mine i belive 165mm is the outside diameter. I've been told that the BMW-Mini are the ones we need. the inner hole is only about 135mm i'm fitting them tomorrow so i'll let you know. By the way I picked mine up from fletchers for £10.

Have you bought any speakers yet? If so what size speakers have you got as there seems to conflicting opinions on here as to what size speakers the zs takes? if the inner space of the adaptors is only 135mm, it obviously wont take 17cm ones as people have been saying. I havnt taken my door apart yet so havnt been able to measure the speakers myself...

no they didn't fit because of the way the speakers are made at the back.....must be because they were shallow mount ones.

i'm sure std speakers would fit ok though.

SAK-1207 is the same as the BMW Mini adaptor. It is designed for 13.5cm speaker by the looks of it.
i used the same for my 16.5/17cm ones but had to remove some material from the centre

Hello again I fitted them today the BMW-Mini ones fit and 135mm speakers .everything fits fine and you can get some decent 135mm speakers. I got mine from the base centre in hockley and halfords or fletchers stock the adapters. the tweaters are easy to fit and the rear are 4 inch. Go for it, it only took about an hour to do.

This is the shape you need.

Right then, it looks like i know what to buy now, 135mm speakers and the mini adaptors. I will do some searching around.! Did the door card and all the other fixings come off ok as these sort of thing never seem to go back quite as they came off..
