I've seem members of the public make better BTCC replicas, the point is if you do it you need to do it properly or it'll always look half-arsed

Do it right or don't do it at all

They have tried a little with the wheels, first time I saw it in the flesh at Brands it still had standard silver wheels on

I was disappointed when I first saw it, but bare in mind they hardly had time to finish the 2 race cars. Remember, to make these cars, a whole new subframe is fitted to the front and this takes time. They would need a lot of spare time to make a replica, which they haven't got this season when they are still developing and understanding the car. Hopefully they will have one for next year or even if one of this years cars gets written off they could use that.
888 used to have a team of about 50 engineers, now they have about 15.
Would love to see one being used to give passenger laps at MGLive!

MG6Turbo is on a distinguished road
Lets remember MG dont fund any of the BTCC cars run by 888. It is all sponsor and Andy Neates money.

Mg dont have any money to pay 888 to build a correct replica. This is why they have stickered a car themselves. They charge there dealers to hire these to recover the costs of vinlying them.

When WSR ran the zs`s, it was WSR that made a replica, not MG. Hence they made a good replica.

As Mattie 007 rightly says, 888 just had enough time to make the 2 cars ready for the first race, to make a replica would have not been possible, plus with the high maintenance of Neates car, they deffo dont have time.

This is a development year and they will be focusing on moving the MG6 onwards.

I very much doubt you will see a better replica than you see now.

It isn't a replica, it's a representation.
