Thinking of swapping from a BRM to ZS 180

Hello all,

Currently got a Rover 200 BRM 1.8vvc and thinking of trading it in towards a ZS 180 (Mk1 or 2 I don't mind).

I have test driven the ZS 180 MK1 and liked it, didn't get to push it much so not sure how it would compare to the BRM in that respect.

Been looking at quite a few but all have not been good enough condition, price is very good it seems, a lot of car for the money no doubt because of the impending road tax rise.

If anyone is selling or would want to maybe do a swap let me know!

Also if anyone has driven perhaps a ZR 160 or the like how does the KV6 compare to the 1.8 K?

Thanks

the KV6 mate is nothing compared to the 1.8k

The 1.8 has to be revved like hell to get anything and lacks mid range torque

The KV6 has torque in the bucket load you can stick in 5th and comfotably do 30-35mph and when you floor it, The car will pull away with ease

Good Luck with the sale/swap get some piccys up i always like to see a BRM

The KV6 in comparision is smooth and very torquey, whereas the 1.8 is a bit rough around the edges but still a cracking engine when looked after.

I have always liked the BRM, an unusual car and compared to Marmite in some respects, the interior is not everyones cup of tea.

Good luck with the trade-in etc and to the site.

Very nice 180 Dan, shame you couldn't get anymore for yours on ebay. Seems to be the way with any MG Rover car. I had one dealer say he wouldn't even touch the BRM or accept as a trade in as no one wants MG Rovers!

Makes me want to keep with MG Rover as I think the Z range and performance Rovers really were under-rated.
