A sad day for me :(

sadly got to say my car has gone to a better place, got woke up this morning at 4.30am by a big bang and my car alarm going off, quickly pulled on some clothes and ran outside, my car was around 25feet further down the road from where i left it and there was a honda jazz sitting sideways in the middle of the road, the elderly man was just standing there in shock, i got the police and an ambulance as he was def so i couldnt tell if he was injured, got to say i sympathise with him as he was on the way home from hospital where his wife had passed away less than an hour earlyer. cars are recovered but mine isnt saveable. heres a few pics of the damage but pics dont do it justice, all the doors apart from the front passanger are wedged shut from the impact.

Suppose its just metal at the end of the day tho eh

That is really sad. What a mess.
And that poor old guy - I hope he's got a decent family around him to help him through it.
I know it sounds daft, but watch out for your premium going up - yes really.
When I got hit in my last Zed, even though I made a full recovery and the other guy got charged for Driving Without Due Care & Attention, just for the fact that I'd made a claim they increased my premium by £50.
Not saying the same would definitely happen to you, but just something to watch out and prepare your arguments for come renewal time.
Also, hope you managed to get all your belongings out of the car before it was recovered.

Holy crap he thumped that hard! So sorry to hear of this and a good job no-one else was involved or injured. You can't help but feel for the old fella, he must have been so out of it at that time of the morning and his mind elsewhere. He should have been driven home by a friend or relative.

Really really sad tale if events. That old boy you can't but feel sympathy for him despite your car being wacked.

Hope everything goes through smoothly with the insurance, you get a decent payoff and get another nice zed.

What a sad story and shame about the car.can only feel for the old guy I hope he is okay and like others have said I hope he has a close family to help him through his tough time.its not going to get any easier on him with the aftermath of the accident hanging over his head as well as the passing of his wife.
