Anyone still awake?

Hi good morning all.

just a quick question coz i'm bored at work!!!!!

been looking at a mk2 180 recently, lovely looking motor, sounds nice, drives great. BUT,,, to start the car, key in ignition, turn over and nothing. it appears to actually start it, i need to lock and de- lock via the key fob?

a very bizarre one for me. can anyone shed some light here?

Yup, I'm working crazy late tonight and it's hard to keep focused!

It's like that every time you try to start? Sounds like the immobiliser / keyfob needs to be resynced. I think it's lock and unlock several times (4/5) together to resync. I'm sure someone here will have a better explanation though

Its just re-immoblised itself since you opened it. If the red LED is flashing becasue you've dicked about too much since you unlocked it just press the open button on the fob before you turn the key.
