I love my ZED...................If I win the lottery and get all the cars on my want list, Im still keeping the ZS...................cars are supposed to break down. What would us men have to do otherwise? lol...............Thats why old people buy hondas and toyotas, and real men buy cars like the ZS

I love my ZS Derv, specially the colour, but, I've never had so much attention from the boys in blue, in all my years of driving.

My driving style hasnt changed and most of the cars I've had have been quickish, Volvo turbo, MGB's, Midgets, Merc 320, Mondeo's.

I didnt get a 180 because I know what would happen, and I dont fancy riding a bike or getting a bus. But I'm getting there, after only 2 years and 4 months of ZS ownership!!!

I take my hat off to all you 180 owners, love to get one but dont dare.

Thumbs up

The 180 is my very first MG, which I have owned for just under 18 months and I have too say it's the most fun car I have owned to date!

Love the sound, which turns alot of heads, the handling is awesome and puts a grin on my face everytime I drive it.

It has character unlike BMW and Ford, a very underated car for the money. Just wish more peeps would get one, as they don't know what they are missing out on!

The 180 is my second MG after having a zr 120 for 5 years, seen release photos for the facelifts which set in motion along with threats of 'buy a 180 or you sleep wi the minnows' from craig the events leading to buying my current car.

Absolutely love it, had a few wee things to srt out when i got it that really should have been picked up by previous owner/garage but they are all sorted now and really apart form a pyrotechnic alarm sounder i cannot think of there being any problems that havent been wear/age related. Love the noise, even the comfort as tbh have never ever been a fan of cars that cushion you from the outside world and felt fine and fresh after the drive down to Georges the other month.

An now for mine it's treat time as have just got a heap of backpay new front component speakers ordered along wi replacment speakers for the rear, centre console, strip etc getting painted pearl black along with a wee lip spoiler...that should do me the now

I cannot insure my ZS anymore (after just getting it back on the road.. sigh). Driving my mum's corsa, she drives the ZS, and I must say it's painful. When I went to uni and got my ZS back on the road after 9 months, I was absolutely over the moon, driving it again was such fun and I love that car more than anything. Driving the corsa is so uninspiring. I know reliability has been bought up as an issue, but my ZS has taken me tens of thousands of miles and there's not been a single hiccup. I have total faith in it (although was a bit spooked when I had my cambelt done the other week- water pump had literally just failed, could have been nasty!).

For all round character, looks, handling, performance, you just can't go wrong at the price Z's are going for, and when I am in the position to drive one again, I will. Hopefully soon I can move onto a 180 like I've wanted to for a long time. The only other thing that captures my heart right now is an Integra Type R.

I had mine for 2 years, in all that time and 30k miles, the only things that went wrong were the rear calipers, the clutch slave and an engine mount that was probs damaged in the bump that wrote it off before I got it. I will be back in a ZS in the next couple of months. The beemers up for sale, with the proceeds I am buying a zafira for Gemma. Then after a couple of months saving up I will be in the market for another 180. I did consider a 120, but It has to be a V6 unless I can find a Mk2 120 for about 2k

Sounds like a plan Craig, looks like you have had some journey since selling the ZS. Nice to see the ZS has made such an impact even after some nice cars you have had since.
