mot time

hi,me mots due in a few weeks on my zstd,ive been told you now need a cat fiited on a diesel from 2014 if it was manufactured with one,as mine has a bypass pipe,is this true,many thxs martin.

The exhaust system should be basically the same as when it left the factory, depends how keen your MOT station is.

shame now one sells a false cat pipe,looks like a cat but its straight through, so the mot tester carnt tell the difference,

I have a cat look a like decat on my car and it passes mot no problems.again I guess it's down to how thorough the tester is.

saw them on ebay for £37+pp £50,so I thought I might aswell buy a cat for an extra £12 free p+p,for peace of mind, I don't think ill lose much bhp for having a cat,+ ill be doing my bit for the environment,i can allways swap em over after mot,

I don't bother and have never had a problem, thats with a decat fitted, apart from sticky calipers, this time.

Think that was because I didnt thrash it up and down our motorway.

Back in Monday for a retest!!!

Think its how hot the tester is.
