Any type of connector that looks like a "bodge job" is no use in a car, if you were going to splice wires then heatshrink, insulating tape, soldering iron and solder are always the best way to go.

Scotchlocks (Blue 3M type)
Chocolate Block (terminal strip), should never be used in a car.

Very happy with myself!!! Whilst sorting out the baggy bum of my car i also fitted new reversing sensors!! And they actually work!!! LoL. Will post some pics later, prob in the members cars section!!
