It's an internal on/off switch. Wait til you try setting 8 - it nearly takes your head off!

So that black switch should be set to what? 1 or 2?

Tried setting 8, currently running that at the minute..

Its no different to setting 1 really apart from its a bit better up top end..

My MAF was new about 2 months ago though so I wasnt expecting much, I only got it to iron out that flat spot really and its worked!

SDi's are going in tomorrow now that my washers are here

Wooooo! Powaarrrrr!

Been busy today!

A few more bits came this morning..

Changed my nackered worn top hose before it went bang..

Inlet manifold off and having a soak in a bucket of paraffin..

All clean!

EGR Blanked off..

SDi's in with new copper washers, new clamps and new leak off pipes..

Breather pipe vented to atmosphere and intake pipe breather blocked up..

Dark ice turbo outlet pipe with new reducer on..

Intercooler and intercooler hoses cleaned out and mikalor clamps fitted..

One clamp was too small for the ZS (came off the ZR) so need to ordered a slight bigger one..

Need a new top intercooler hose also as this one is nackered..

Friggin' stabbed my self with a flat screw driver haha..

After I got it all built back up went for a blast up the road and it was blue smoking realllllly bad..

It cleared after a mile or so, I think some of the black carbon crap from the inlet was still in the big inlet manifold and it was just burning it off..

Setting 7 on the digimafam makes it smoke like a train and setting 8 makes it blue smoke at high revs, so its currently on setting 2 as setting 1 was a bit slow top end, it feels ok but its obviously faster in setting 8 but the blue smoke scares me a bit, cant work out why its making it blue smoke haha..

Anyway the car is a lot nicer to drive, power at any rev in any gear, smoke is minimal, just get a bit of black smoke at low revs in a high gear, when on boost its a slight haze... so its pretty much spot on!

Nice work there!

As for the blue smoke, my guess is the fuel pump isn't able to suck enough fuel for the demand given by the ECU, but the culprit could be as simple as restriction/vacuum in the fuel line or the priming bulb or in the gas tank or filler cap or fuel filter...

May be silly but just noticed that the top water hose clamp looks a bit to tight, that plastic couplers can crack easily.

Ahh yeah I can see what you mean, nah its not too tight, its how the hose looks, I cut if off a 420 SDi hose set up (they dont have the plastic T bit they are all joined) so I cut it a bit too close to the join on the sdi if that makes sense?
