Although the risk is small its not worth been done for insurance fraud

Well imo that's why he's trying to sell it on for £1000, advertising it on ebay is probably not the smartest move though as it's featured on several forums.

He should have sold it to a mate on the quiet, aroused no suspicion, they might have got away with it, but having it splashed all over the internet makes it way to risky

Problem is he hasn't done anything illegal plus Im sure a copper somewhere has spotted it now anyway
If hes tried to claim on the insurance wouldn't it have been blacklisted or something?
