mine is an 02 no dents ect, a few more miles but very low for the year.

I see the value as Sub ?1000 for a quick sale so I am going to keep her. If it does have an acident you may get less than that back from the insurance. With high excess you could end up with as little as ?500.

The problem is that in a rush to sell some on ebay have been up for ?500 and ?750 in good nick and a few weeks ago a couple of good nick mk2's went for 2k.... kind of the shoots shoite out or our car values

The prices are shocking lads, appreciate the posts but I guess you are not telling me anything I already knew really.

If a MK2 can go for 2k then whats the hope?

Perhaps one day the 180's time will come again.

Yeh there is a 54 hatch on ebay at the moment with the belts done ect and he will deal at sub ?2k

Its the price of perol and insurance. There will come a time when the values rally. I would love to be able to buy a mk2 and hide her away.

Same here fella, I guess mothballing is an option too, perhaps the best option is not to sell, SORN and bring her back to life in a couple of years time.

At the end of the day these cars are awesome, second to none, anyone who says anything different has obviously never driven one, put it past the band and it breaks your neck!! Had 2 now and if I have to garage this one I will, no one will get it on the cheap!!!

totally dude... im in the process of getting some storage sorted so i can get one for a t16 conversion and maybe another that will be a mk2 because for all there faults there amazing looking cars...
