my 180 is due its belts in january, current milage is 28k. a £500 belt change in some instances adds £750 in value to some vehicles

Yeah but zaz to be fair this is an mgzs forum , where 180 owners have experienced belts snapping at all intervals.

They are mainly speaking from experience and not trying to fob you off etc. I just feel you are not giving the " experts" ( being us) any credit. We speak from experience as I said.

And as a guide I paid 3k for a 2005 mk2 zs180 with 27000 miles on the clock.

£1300-£1500 is very reasonable for a mk1 which is due a belt change, end of. But good luck with the sale. But if that belt goes its new engine time, no matter how you word your 6 year / 90k mile speech

And seems as your car has been for sale since nov 08, and you paid 5 k for it not too long ago id take what I can . Sorry mate but all IMHO

i would sell my 180 as i really want something with a turbo, but i couldnt let it go for such stupid money.
