Air con

Dont know if this is the right section....but aircon light comes on but revs stay the same,what could it be.?Thanks

Work safe, and remember all technical problems can be resolved with a hammer, the trick is knowing where to hit it and how big a hammer to use (I often find it may also help to have a spare bit in the shed to replace the bit you have just mullered

Don't always change, is it actually working?
I.e does the compressor wheel turn??

Dont know where the compressor is in the engine compartment?Theres no change in revs or any switching noise-just nothing apart from the light.

Look where washer fluid bottle is, right down bottom towards front of engine
No turn = not working or out of gas, etc etc

Mk2 wont let the aircon run if the outside temp is too low.
