Breaking; 2004 (54) MK2 MG ZS TD 115..

As above, 2004 MK2 MG ZS TD115 in Firefrost Red..

Got the complete car here, most parts are available, some parts are provisionally sold..

Reason for breaking is due to needed too much work to be economical for me to sell on.. Heres the faults;

Clutch problem - Wont go in 1st sometimes, either wore out clutch or a cylinder..

Coolant loss - Tightened up all the hoses and fitted new expansion tank cap, stopped it for a month but its just lost a header tank full again

Air con pump pulley bearings are gone, the pulley is wobbling about and has chucked the belt off a couple of times

Big score in the windscreen from where the previous owner didnt replace the wiper blade

Wont let me lock the car without the alarm going off (sometimes)

Theres a loud "crack" from underneath when letting off from hard acceleration or hard braking

Heater cable has jumped off the back of the controls, its stuck on demist windscreen

Slight miss-fire when cold (injector?)

Could do with discs and pads all round

Crap handbrake

Cold starting is getting worse and worse (glow plugs)

Body work isnt in the best nick, stone chips, paint flaking etc..

MAF sensor is knackered, so running with it unplugged at the min

No radio reception, think the aerial has jumped off the back of the radio

And a few other niggly problems, it has been doing my head in for a while now, the last straw was the other day when I come out to it having punctures! Just keeps letting me down..

So time to break it! Let me know what your after!

Cheers!

First obvious question - why are you breaking that, it looks spot on?

(apart for being a hatch obviously)

Shame, as you put such a lot of work into it, to get it to where it is now.

Always liked it.

Shame to break it then if it's all good, I'd stick it on ebay for a week, will make more than in parts as the only really valuble part is the body kit, an engine with that mileage is fine but no will want it for a transplant.

You'll get a cash lump sum and wont need to get rid of the remains.

Tried having it up for sale, was getting offers of £600-700 etc..

Im not letting it go for that, owes me £2000..

I know il never get that 2k back but id want atleast £1100 for it, which is never gunna happen..

Iv had a lot of interest in some parts, iv got about £600 of stuff on it that people want.. So I think im gunna go ahead and strip it..

Might keep the shell for a T16 conversion or something yet..
