Hi all, I have had my 180 saloon for about a year just sat in the garage while I collected all the parts indeed to do a facelift conversion. Why you ask? Surely it's easier to buy a mk2?. The reason I have chosen to do this is because every mk2 I have looked at has been an over priced wreck!, this 180 came up it's 2002 with one owner full history and only 50k. So far I have fitted a complete janspeed system Inc manifolds and sports cat, K&N apollo induction kit, new vented and drilled brakes and pads, full service and MOT (flew straight through no advisories). I have all the facelift body kit which I'm in the process of painting, fantastic car and sounds awesome. I will put some pics up soon.

I am currently doing this to my MK1 ZS 2.0L TD. I have not seen another MK2TD with the same specs as my MK1 hence the reason why i am doing the conversion plus i have already spent alot of time and money getting her up to the standard that i want. Good luck with your conversion, look forward to seeing the pics.

I was half tempted to spray mine in the Audi white as had some left over after painting the bike. If I didnt use it everyday I may do it. :hmmm:

Funny as white cars used to be seen as the poverty spec version, it was also a no-cost paint option with some manufacturers. I had a V6 Calibra in white, looked good even then. Also had a Humber Sceptre 1725 in white with a black vinyl roof, Opel Rekord estate, Transit van and Bedford CF 350.

I like white but it's a pita to keep it clean, I had a white mk5 fiesta td, looked good only after good waxing!

I saw the blue flip in the first pic up close and personal too. It was amazing, shame it wasn't a 180 or I may have had it (prior to its crash!)

Black is not ideal for keeping clean either sadly!

It's either white or RS green :D

Colours change with a fashion. As Stamford says - white was poverty - that's why police cars and builders vans were white. Then some bright spark started the whole white with black wheels thing and it took off.

I love it. If I ever colour change the "Red Shed" - it'll be white - well - maybe orange - or maybe light blue - but it will NOT be yellow..... ;)
