Get in there cant fault you . What i cant understand is is it only supermarkets that have to start price drops when main fuel suppliers supply them answers please

im a tesco driver so i often find a stack of 10p/5p off a litre coupons in my car :) only thing is they have changed the offer now so you can only use 1 coupon at a time, you used to be able to use 5 in one transaction :( still better than nothing though :)

Still way too expensive... When I first learned to drive it was 73.9p per liter iirc, get it back under a bloody pound per liter and I would be impressed LOL.

When I learned to drive 5 star 101 octane Shell was 4 shillings and 11 pennys a gallon........thats 25p in new money

in 1974 my Jaguar 3.8 E-type cost me just under £400 and car insurance was around £75 for it........ beer was 2 shillings and 11 pennys a pint that 15p in new money and I was earning £1 an hour.

All this is pretty irrelavent....except for one important point ...... Britain was a far happier place to live back then.

I'm a Tesco 99 and the Tesco where I work and fill up is still 1.33 on unleaded. There is a Sainsbury's just up the road from the Tesco and that is 1.32 so neither of them are making a move. But a Sainsbury's near where I live is 1.29.

I agree to a degree. I wont touch Tesco's fuel where possible lol
Get **** all to the gallon from Tesco's regular unleaded and their Momentum 99 isn't much better (its full of junk apparently....)
For PoL this year, I did brim the tank with Momentum 99 simply because it was on the way out of Southport. The Shell was the other direction. And Morrisons was closed at that time in the morning lol.
The car was noticeably rougher than usual on that drive.

Around here, the Texaco is privately owned by foreigners, costs a fortune and gets mixed with water.
The Total is also owned by foreigners who think they can get motorway service prices in a small town.
Morrisons doesn't do a high octane, but the regular unleaded is Esso unleaded (not the usual supermarket crap). Regularly the cheapest in the area.
Shell is the best around here, and often same price as Morrisons. Shell VPower is great stuff.
Both Tescos are always more expensive than Shell/Morrisons but cheaper than BP. They only supply mediocre fuel though.
The BP is next to the main Tesco, and always costs more. They do have BP Ultimate though.
The Asda and Sainsbury's don't have petrol stations here.

But hey, if you are getting it that cheap in todays climate, even Tesco's jungle juice would be acceptable lol

Run the Bmw on Morrisons unleaded and collect the points to get a wee cheeky fiver

Run the track Zed on BP ultimate as the nearest shell is like 15mins away otherwise I would have been using V power.

My Zed gets 35mpg on a good run easy, and it runs smooth as a nut. You must have a dodgy Tesco near you.....................

I've been decent results from mostly Sainsbury's 97ron or occasionally BP Ultima for the last 18 months at least, along with all the other sources we have enough nectar points to pay for accommodation during our road trip at the end of the month.

I used to use VPower all the time but now the Shell garage is on the opposite direction to work so Tesco Momentum 99 will have to do.

Indeed, every fill-up for the Discovery is getting a little less, all good! Now it is well under £100 for a tank!
