Only one EGT mate, probe is right infront of the longest runner (hottest point) its indication as opposed to a tuning aid

Sorry for the delay dudes :) Work has been particularly busy this month.
Bit of an update for you guys anyway :) i didn't realise it was so out of date!!

Here it is with everything fitted and connected as should be, the large pipe running over the top is the air filter cold air feed, unfortunately with the position of the turbo the air filter has been the BIGGEST problem, the only way i could get cold air into the turbo was by doing this, definitely not ideal but i will see how it goes, only other option would be to fit a horrific bonnet scoop :(

Still a bit of support work to be sorted here, Boost pipes have been wrapped to prevent heat soak and melting in some places! Those particular "hot spots" also now have aero grade titanium heat shields fitted ;)

Had a bit of a shuffle around inside, wanted my old stereo back where it was, so moved the gauges again! I know have the PLX multi-gauge in where the water temp gauge used to be (it displays that anyway!) and my Stack EGT gauge in the pillar pod.

Some nice detail there, I really like the plenum/tb set up, many £££ I expect.

That's a good place for the oil cooler as well, it would be good for 180 owners wanting to get rid of the oe water/oil cooler.

Dont mean to be rude, but i was wondering

If you were told to add up every penny you have spent on the car since you started the conversion how much would it be. From the smalest washer to all the turbo's you have had to buy.

Its just, im looking at all the work you have done from the start to date and it seems like you must have spent a small fortune. Really curious to know what it would cost to carry out a conversion like yours, to the same meticulous standard you have. Even just a ball park ?

Lol 20afr is how we roll ;)

Oh god theres a scary question..uumm... Last count was £14,000 ish... Had a fair amount more spent on it since then, could probably afford a decent lotus exige for the money spent :( worth it? Nope!! Lol! But learnt alot!! Ballpark for everything... £18,000 perhaps? On a rover lol

Some nice engineering there - would like to know more about your water pump arrangment - have you dumped the O/E pump completly? What about the steering pump?

I was considering an electric pump and a shorter drive belt as my maestro doesn't have PAS and I've killed 2 pumps running it while dry.

That's a good place for the oil cooler as well, it would be good for 180 owners wanting to get rid of the oe water/oil cooler.

I was thinking about the O/E arrangment today as I was watching the oil temp read out (only this and alternator output work on this lorry which is 15 yrs old and done over half a millon kilometers).

At initial start up does the O/E oil cooler act as an oil warmer as the coolant warms quicker than the oil?

I removed the impellor from the pump and welded in a diversion plate to help direct water flow, has a little cut out in it to keep a water supply to the wet seal.
My power steering pump is still used and doesnt affect anything.
My oil cooler is oil to air with an 85degree thermostat, oil to water coolers should warm your oil and maintain its temp.

A tiny... (but at the same time fairly large!) update on the car... after some fault finding i got her started :D
This is the first start on the Omex management. She sounds very rattly but the video is just seconds after start on forgies with very little oil flow yet, plus it hasn't been started in 6 months! After a minute or so it was fine :)
Short of the water pump blowing a fuse no other problems to report, even fixed the oil leak i found!
Month or so and she'll be off for mapping and see where it goes from there :D watch this space :P
