Any tips for removing fuel filter,

Just changed the spark plugs and went to change the fuel filter as have just hit 60,000 and not sure if it has been changed before,
So nice easy job not so simple, the 14mm union nut on the bottom is well and truly round lol, Guess someone went to do it before and didnt bother,

tried getting grips on it but only got big ones and once on cant move them at all, Real pain as the spark change went so well

Would appreciate any suggestions

It's a pita but iirc I loosened the lower nut first however your's doesn't sound like it is much of a nut anymore. Perhaps with the help of a second person one could grip both ends and the other puts a screwdriver through the filter and turns that? I accept no liability if you try this...

Well its not that they dont grip it but theres no room to move them lol, Managed to get them on and took the top hose off and tried turning the filter using the nut on the top but is really seized up and not coming off, Tried WD40 but no good, The only other thing ive done when nuts dont come off is get a blowtorch on them and thats prob not the cleverest way to go about removal

What car have you got? The ZS120 and ZS180 I have both have quick release fuel filters... meaning you can undo the bolt when the filter is off the car....

Sounds like the same problem we had when we went to change the filter in lil bro's ZR... We took it to someone else.

PS - Carb cleaner works better than WD40.
